A+K undertook a terrace extension of a 4 bedroom apartment in an Edwardian residential apartment block in addition to it's complete internal refurbishment.

The site was located within the Knightsbridge conservation area and as such required a sensitive design that would meet the needs of this private client whilst complying with local conservation planning guidance. We worked closely with the interior designer who was also appointed to act as client representative. A+K were also required to co-ordinate all members of the design team including structural engineer and contractor.
Our role was as contract administrator and architect, involved in the detailing and construction of the refurbishment works. We also designed and obtained statutory approvals for the glazed extension to the sixth floor terrace and managed all construction works until the completion of the project in September 2009.
