A+K undertook a concept scheme for creating a new 3-bedroom dwelling at the rear of the garden of this site in Hounslow. The site is a corner plot with access at the rear, enabling a new building to be built at the rear with it's own frontage and driveway access. The layout of the house forms a private side towards the rear road, and an open side towards the new garden.
This concept is carried through in the materiality of the building which uses solid zinc cladding on the corner facing the driveway, and full height glazing towards the private garden space. Visible steel detailing, picture windows, natural timber shingles, and a feature chimney complete the style of this modern property.
